Marie’s chiropractic path began at just 18 years old in Louisiana, where she found herself under the wing of an exceptional mentor who would shape her entire career. Working alongside Kent Planbeck, she learned everything from practice management to patient care, helping him open 38 successful locations across Louisiana and later expanding into the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1985.
From Practice Owner to Industry Expert
While Marie initially considered becoming a chiropractor herself, her thriving practices and business ventures kept her focused on the management side of health care. She spent 20 years specializing in space planning and equipment sales for chiropractic offices. She used her deep understanding of patient flow and practice efficiency to help dozens of doctors create successful practices. Her expertise in building patient-centered environments and training staff to deliver exceptional care became her signature; skills that would prove invaluable when she eventually partnered with Dr. Sigg.
A Partnership Born From Family Care
The connection between Marie and Dr. Sigg began through family. When her daughter needed chiropractic care while attending college in Houston, she interviewed three doctors and chose Dr. Sigg. The quality of care he provided spoke volumes about his approach to patient treatment.
This professional relationship evolved into a business partnership five years ago when the perfect opportunity arose—a fully equipped clinic ready to open in Katy. Her decades of experience and Dr. Sigg’s clinical expertise created the foundation for Elite Chiropractic & Therapy’s patient-first approach.
Chiropractic Runs in the Family
Marie’s influence extends far beyond business success. Her daughter, who was adjusted at just four hours old, is now in her final year of chiropractic college. Two of her nieces are also practicing chiropractors, and they credit Marie’s influence for guiding them toward this rewarding profession.
