Meet Dr. Parker Smith, DC
Dr. Smith always knew she wanted a career in medicine, but it was a childhood struggle with daily headaches that pointed her toward chiropractic specifically. When her primary care provider suggested she see a chiropractor, she left that first visit feeling better than she had in a long time, and she was hooked.
She started asking her own chiropractor question after question until he became her mentor, and by the time she was 13 or 14 years old, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life.
Education and Training
Dr. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Fort Hays State University in 2022 before heading to Parker University in Dallas for chiropractic school, following in the footsteps of the mentor who first inspired her. Once Dr. Smith sets her mind to something, she follows through, a mindset she summed up simply: “I decide something, and then I make it happen.” She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April 2025.
Her Approach to Care
What excites Dr. Smith most about practicing now is the challenge of the unexpected case, the kind that doesn’t fit a textbook pattern. “I really enjoy the puzzle of figuring out how I’m going to help somebody.” During her training, she made a point of learning a little about many different chiropractic techniques rather than specializing early, giving her a broad foundation to draw from as she settles into practice.
Patients tend to feel at ease with Dr. Smith right away. She has a warm, approachable presence that puts people at ease, and she often finds that patients open up to her easily.
Beyond the Adjusting Table
Outside of work, Dr. Smith spends as much time outdoors as she can. She enjoys working out, taking her two German shepherds on walks, and spending time with family, friends, and her boyfriend, who is also studying to become a chiropractor.
